Although swags and jabots are a style that not many are using these days,
they still have a place in certain settings and certain fabrics.  
In a treatment like this the swag is draped in front of cornice to soften
the color and lines of the contrasting plaid.  It also makes a nice edge
to hang beautiful decorative trim on the edge of the swag and jabots.
