Our Custom Draperies are created in our own workroom.  We will work with you to find out exactly what you expect to accomplish
with you treatments and provide you with solutions to get the best results possible.  We can provide sample fabric books for you to
look through or you may shop for your own fabrics.  Our in-home-consult consist of measuring your windows, estimating how
much fabric you will need, and other items such as rods, lining, and interlining.  Fabrics and Hardware come in a wide range of
prices but we will estimate an average price and base our estimates on those until we have a specific fabric and hardware picked
out.

Some draperies are made to open and close,
some are just stationary decorative panels.
This is important to know if privacy is an issue
or if you are looking to protect your home
from damaging sun and cold winters you
would want drapes to fully close.  If you were
looking to add just color and a look, stationary
panels may suit your need.
Decorative rods are the most popular for
hanging draperies.  These rods come in
many styles and diameter.  It is important to
choose the right rod for your draperies.  It
must be strong enough to support the weight
and must be the correct rod, if you plan on
drawing draperies open and close.  Some
rods do not allow this because of supports
needed to hold some of the longer rods.
Traditional traverse rods could also be used
but show the white rod when drapery is open.
It can be covered with some top treatment
over the drapery.
You can choose to have your draperies
interlined, (another layer of fabric between
the face fabric and the lining) that add some
element of insulating quality you would not
traditionally see in draperies.  Interlined
panels also add body and stability especially
to silks and faux silks that really need the
extra layer for body.  This creates a
beautiful quality drapery that will withstand
years of life.
The most popular drapery fabrics are
silk, cotton, polyester, linen.  Some
fabrics are printed therefore need to
match.  Certain fabrics are not suitable
for draperies.  These are things to be
considered when choosing fabric for
your draperies.
Drapery lining is the most important decision you will make when choosing to have draperies made.  We do not make draperies that are not lined.  Draperies need to be lined.  It protects
the fabric that you spent quite a bit of time choosing, adds body and stability to your drape. You may also have a specific need for a bedroom to have more darkness during the day so
you may choose a blackout lining.  Thermal lining is also used that has a foam backing to provide more insulation than a traditional lining.  We provide a cotton sateen lining in all of our
draperies unless you are in need of a special lining.
